City of Enterprise moves to new technology for job applications

Beginning June 2014, job seekers can easily apply with a new online system.
Enterprise, AL- City of Enterprise Human Resources Department has launched a new software system to improve the hiring process for job seekers and personnel managers. Beginning in June, the City of Enterprise will make the transition from paper applications to strictly electronic applications. Job seekers will be able to quickly apply online to numerous positions currently open via www.cityofenterprise.net. Interested candidates can apply for current vacancies or fill out a “job interest card” in which they will be notified when a position of their interest becomes available.

City of Enterprise has partnered with NEOGOV, the nation’s largest cloud software for HR in government and education. Using this technology, HR and department managers can access online records to expedite hiring and provide greater accountability when selecting new employees.
This new software streamlines the job search and application process for job seekers. Instead of applying for multiple job openings at once, candidates can submit multiple applications all electronically.

The new system also allows hiring managers to more effectively create minimum qualifications to sort through a pool of applicants. With the new system, administrative work and technical maintenance costs are reduced as this workload is handled by the NEOGOV system.
Applicants that are unable to access a computer from home will have the ability to apply online at City Hall. Staff members will be available to instruct applicants on how to navigate the site and how to submit an online application.
Paper applications will be accepted until May 30.
