Dothan woman arrested on child abuse charges for third time

Latest charge involves ramming child's face into a dinner plate
A Dothan woman was arrested on a child abuse charge marking the third time she’s faced such allegations in the past five years.

Camille Dorit Fields, 29, of Robindale Drive was arrested Monday on allegations she rammed the face of her eight year old daughter into a dinner plate. Court records indicate Fields was, last May, was arrested for the abuse of the same daughter. She is accused of biting the girl in the alleged 2013 abuse that has yet to go to trial. Both incidents are alleged to have occurred in Dothan.

Fields, in 2009, was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee on charges she threw a car seat with a two-month old infant in it at a Wal-Mart security guard who confronted her about possible shoplifting. Shelby County court records indicate Fields pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Tennessee court records indicates her name is Camilla Fields.
