Chick-fil-A Bowl to visit Knoxville for Auburn - Tennessee game

Chick-fil-A Bowl representative Tilden Martin will visit Neyland Stadium on Saturday for the Tennessee – Auburn game.
ATLANTA (Nov. 6, 2013) Chick-fil-A Bowl representative Tilden Martin will visit Neyland Stadium on Saturday for the Tennessee – Auburn game. Both are being scouted as potential representatives in the 2013 Chick-fil-A Bowl on Dec. 31.

The ACC and SEC team selections for the 46th annual Chick-fil-A Bowl will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 8. The Chick-fil-A Bowl is the oldest guaranteed ACC vs. SEC match-up in the bowl business.

Tennessee and the Chick-fil-A Bowl
Tennessee (4-5) has made five appearances in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, most recently in 2009 against Virginia Tech. The Volunteers defeated Indiana in the 1987 Peach Bowl. The Volunteers also competed in the 1982, 2002 and 2003 matchups.

Auburn and the Chick-fil-A Bowl
Auburn (8-1) has made five appearances in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, most recently in 2011 with a victory against Virginia. The Tigers defeated Clemson in 2007 and 1997 and Indiana in 1990. The Tigers also competed in the 2001 bowl.

Chick-fil-A Bowl Achieves Earliest Sellout in its History
There has not been a Chick-fil-A Bowl game ticket available for sale on game day in 18 years, and this year will be no different. The final ACC vs. SEC rivalry game before the Chick-fil-A Bowl joins the College Football Playoffs next year will be its 17th straight sellout – a streak only exceeded by the Rose Bowl.
