The Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) Foundation held its annual Sandi McCool Champions of Hope event on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the campus of the new Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.

More than 1,500 participants, 65 teams, 100 volunteers and more than 61 sponsors joined us for the event which included 5K and 10K competitive runs, a Spirit Walk, 25-, 45-, and 100-mile cycling ride and the new Kohl’s Kid Fit Challenge. We would like to extend special appreciation to this year’s Pink Diamond Sponsors: Dr. Alan McCool & Family (in memory of Sandi Thurman McCool); Anesthesia Consultants Medical Group; and Wells-Fargo bank.
