Arrest Brings Identity Theft Case to a Close

Julisha Boykin was arrested and charged with second degree theft of property and identity theft.
On October 1, 2013 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest, following two separate theft investigations involving Julisha Boykin.

Investigators say on July 9, 2013 Boykins obtained a debit/credit card in the victim’s name without authorization, consent or permission. Boykins then used that debit/credit card to make over $300.00 in purchases at a local business.

Investigators also say that on August 5, 2013 Boykins cashed a check using a closed bank account to obtain over $550.00. Investigators say the account was opened using the name of a self-employed business that Boykins was the owner of and closed in July of 2013.

Boykins arrest now brings both cases to a close.

Julisha Krystalynn Boykin, black female, 23 years of age, of West Powell Street was arrested and charged with second degree Theft of Property and Identity Theft. Boykin’s bonds have been set and total $7,500. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
