Troy (9-14, 5-7) is coming off of a 111-90 win over Georgia State on Saturday. The Trojans made 15 3-pointers in that game, just one shy of tying an all-time school record. Troy also forced 27 Georgia State turnovers and scored 33 points off of them.

Ashley Beverly-Kelley led the Trojans and nearly posted a triple-double with 32 points (12-16 FG, 5-5 3pt), 13 assists and eight rebounds. Beverly-Kelley’s 13 assists are the most by a Sun Belt player this season and the most by a Trojan since 1997.

Joanna Harden scored 22 points in the win and is now averaging 25.3 per game, the fifth best mark in the NCAA and the best in the Sun Belt. Harden has scored 20-plus 19 times this season, including in nine straight. Her season scoring average would be the best in school history and fifth best in the Sun Belt’s 31-year history.

As a team, Troy is still leading the Sun Belt in scoring at 81.0 points per game. The Trojans also lead the league in rebounding (44.0), blocks (4.6) and steals (10.2). Troy is second in the Sun Belt in assists (14.0) and 3-pointers made (6.6).

UL Lafayette (11-13, 4-9) snapped an eight-game losing streak on Saturday with a 77-76 win over Sun Belt leader Arkansas State at home. Wednesday’s game marks the final of three straight at home for the Ragin’ Cajuns.

The two sides met earlier this season at Trojan Arena with Troy winning that game 87-75. Troy held UL Lafayette without a field goal for over 10 minutes in the first half and led by as many as 21 points in that game. The win ended an eight-game losing streak for Troy and started the current stretch of five wins in seven games. It also started UL Lafayette’s eight-game losing streak.

Troy is 7-6 all-time against UL Lafayette with wins in three of the last four meetings. However, all three of those wins have come at home as the Trojans are just 1-5 all-time in Lafayette. Wednesday’s game will be the first between Troy at UL Lafayette at the Cajundome as the previous six meetings in Lafayette have been at Earl K. Long Gym.
