The Trojans (3-1) took three of four games from Northern Kentucky last weekend. Right fielder David Hall was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after reaching base in 16 of 18 plate appearances including his first 14. Hall hit two home runs and picked up four RBIs. He finished the series 7-for-9.

Junior outfielder Jo-El Bennett turned in a career performance on Sunday as he blasted three home runs with six RBIs en route to being named Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week and an NCAA Top Performer.

Trevin Hall also turned in a solid performance batting 8-for-16 (.500) with a pair of home runs and four RBIs.

Senior Tanner Hicks (1-0, 0.00), who pitched seven shutout innings and tied a career-high with nine strikeouts last week, will take the ball for the Trojans on Friday. Shane McCain (1-0, 1.50) will get the nod in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. McCain threw six innings in Game 2 against Northern Kentucky; he struck out nine and allowed one run off five hits.

Cody Hughes (0-0, 13.50) is slated to get his second career start for Troy in the second game on Saturday while Will Starling (1-0, 4.50) will occupy the mound in the series finale.

Bobby Pierce is knocking on the doorstep of a milestone, as he is just two wins away from No. 400 as Troy's head coach.

Central Michigan (0-4) is looking to bounce back after being swept by #29 UNLV in a four-game tilt in Las Vegas. The Chippewas are led by junior outfielder Nick Regnier, who batted .267 last weekend with three RBIs.

RHP Jordan Foley (0-1, 3.18), who was named the No. 37 junior prospect by Baseball America, will start on Friday. Foley went 5.2 innings allowing three runs off five hits against UNLV; he was 6-6 with a 3.08 ERA last season and was named MAC Pitcher of the Week twice.

Troy took two of three from the Chippewas at Riddle-Pace Field in 2012 in the only meeting between the teams.
