The early entry fee is $120 per team/boat; $145 on the day of the tournament. A pre-tournament safety meeting will be held Friday, June 13 at 5 p.m. at the Eufaula Community Center (540 Lake Drive.) The marina grill opens for breakfast at 4 a.m. Saturday and the tournament blast-off is set for first safe light from Lakepoint Marina main ramp just off U.S. 431 North (104 Old Highway 165, Eufaula 36027.) “We expect a big turnout from all over the Southeast,” Capt. Sam Williams, tournament organizer, said. “We’ll kick off the tournament Friday night with a safety meeting that we encourage one team member from every boat to attend and the public is invited, too. We’ll have a silent auction and a lot of prizes to give away. On Saturday morning, the Lakepoint Marina Grill opens at 4 for coffee and biscuits, and the bait store will be open, too.”
Tournament winnings include more than a dozen cash prizes for Smallest Legal Fish, Biggest Fish, and first through fifteenth places. Door prizes will also be awarded by random drawing.
