Here is a running list of closures, shelter openings and other important info related to Hurricane Irma:
- Henry County will open two Red Cross shelters on Sunday. The First Baptist Church Headland located at 301 East Church Street in Headland and the Abbeville United Methodist Church located at 100 West Kelly Street in Abbeville will open at 4:00pm on Sunday September 10th. Residents living in mobile homes are encouraged to seek out one of these shelters or stay with friends / family in a sturdy home.
- Safe haven facility at Westgate Church is full.
- Heritage Baptist Church at 1951 Westgate Parkway will open at 7 pm.
Daleville cultural and convention center is open as a shelter. For further information call (334) 598-4442.
In coordination with local elected officials and local faith based organizations; We will open two “safe havens” in Coffee County where people can seek shelter from the pending storm. Both of these locations will open at 6 PM Sunday 9/10/17 and are project to close no later than Tuesday morning 9/12/17 depending on storm conditions.

There is room for 120 people in each location.
Cots will be available. No Pets, weapons, illegal drugs or alcohol allowed. Intoxicated individuals are subject to be turned away.
Please don’t come before 6 PM on Sunday as we will not be prepared to assist you.
Please bear in mind if between now and opening we find that we will be more directly affected by Hurricane IRMA with winds greater than 74 MPH we will not be able to house anyone in these locations as they are not approved for this amount of wind. Alternative plans are being considered in case of this event and updated information will be sent as soon as possible.
Due to the possibility of inclement weather associated with Hurricane Irma, Dothan City Schools will be closed Monday, September 11th, and Tuesday, Septermber 12th.
Troy University campuses in Alabama will be closed Monday and Tuesday, September 11 and 12.
All Florida schools are closed on Monday.
Clay County Schools are closed on Monday.

Covenant Preschool and Childcare will be closed Monday & Tuesday, September 11th and 12th.

Due to the hurricane threat Providence Christian School will be closed Monday, September 11, and Tuesday, September 12. All school activities are also cancelled.
Wallace Community College will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, September 11-12, in consideration of safety concerns related to Hurricane Irma. Classes will resume on Wednesday, September 13.
All SEACAP offices will be closed Monday, September 11, 2017 due to the approach of Hurricane Irma. If you had an appointment, it will be rescheduled to another day. Please stay safe and watch local news and social media for updates.
The final scheduled flight from Tallahassee International Airport will leave Sunday evening ahead of Hurricane Irma, which is starting to rip its way up the state of Florida.

All branches in southeast Alabama (Dothan, Enterprise, Daleville, Ft. Rucker, Ozark, Troy, Opp) along with DeFuniak Springs and Santa Rosa Beach, FL will be closed on Monday, September 11 due to impending weather from Hurricane Irma.

Michelin will be closing tonight at 7pm and will reopen Tuesday at 7am.

Due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Irma and the potential impacts for our area, the City of Enterprise will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
All essential personnel and first responders will be available in the event they are needed.
Mayor Cooper, EMA officials, and city officials have all been monitoring the storm and are taking this storm very serious and taking every precaution to make sure that all citizens are safe.

Once winds are sustained around 40mph, first responders might not be available to respond until the winds settle.
Residents are asked that as the winds calm, to stay off the roads and stay indoors to let first responders and crews clear the roads.

All schools in Pike County are closed on Monday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 12. This included all Pike County Schools, all Troy City Schools and Pike Liberal Arts School. On Friday, Troy University announced its cancellation of classes for Monday and Tuesday.

From SARCOA: All 38 Senior Centers will be closed in Barbour, Coffee, Covington, Dale, Geneva, Henry, and Houston Counties on Monday and Tuesday for regular activities. Some centers may open for safe havens. Please check with individual centers for more information.

District Court Judge Chris Kaminski has announced that there will be no criminal court on Monday September 11 in Enterprise. Also, Trooper Traffic court on Tuesday, September 12 in Enterprise is also cancelled.

- The National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds will offer a portion of its 200 acre Fairgrounds for RV evacuees. We have complimentary grassy areas for 400 self-contained RV's (no power/sewer/water) and 100 additional spaces that will include water/sewer/50amp power hookups.
