Panama City, Fla. - Sept. 11, 2017 – After discussions with state and county officials, Waste Management has determined that it will resume regular collection services on Tuesday, Sept. 12 in Jackson County, Washington County and Bay County in Florida; as well as Houston County, Alabama; and Spring Hill Regional Landfill.
All service days during the week of Sept. 11 will be pushed back by one day. Therefore, customers with a regular service day of Monday will be serviced on Tuesday, Tuesday customers will be serviced on Wednesday, Wednesday customers will be serviced on Thursday and so forth for the remainder of the week. All regular routes and service days will resume a normal schedule on Monday, Sept. 18.
“Waste Management appreciates the cooperation of our valued customers as we collectively rebound from the effects of Hurricane Irma. We encourage all residents in these communities to be mindful of any storm-related street or low-wire issues, as well as the increased traffic attributed to evacuees into the panhandle area, and to proceed with caution and patience,” said Ronnie Bell, public sector services representative.
