Troy Men's Basketball Signs Four In Early Signing Period

TROY, Ala. – Troy men's basketball announced the signing of four talented recruits from across the southeast head coach Phil Cunningham announced on Wednesday.
"We're really excited about today's signing class," Cunningham said. "We need an influx of talent and athleticism to replace our four seniors and we certainly accomplished that task with this group.
"I'm especially proud of our three assistant coaches who did a tremendous job adding these prospects to our program."
The signings come as the Trojans prepare to kick off the regular season at the Rainbow Classic against North Dakota on Friday. It will be Troy's first outing since facing Duke in March Madness in March.
Xavier Williams
Williams is a 6'8, 186 lb versatile forward from Birmingham, Ala. Last season, he led Parker High School to the state championship game and an overall record of 28-6. Williams averaged 17.5 points per game, nine rebounds per game and 3.5 blocks per game.
He is currently ranked as the third-best senior in the state of Alabama. Williams has played on the varsity team since his freshman year and currently sits just outside the top-400 national prospects.

Rodgers comes to Troy from Buford, Ga. where he has been the starting shooting guard for Mountain View High. Last season, he led Mountain View to the 6A Region Championship and a berth in the Sweet 16 of the state tournament.
He averaged a team-leading 17 points per game while shooting more than 40 percent from 3-point range. While playing AAU ball with the Georgia Stars, Rodgers put up 12 points per game and again shot better than 40 percent from three.
KJ Simon
Simon is a 6'3 point guard from Orlando, Fla. where he played for West Orange High. As the captain of West Orange, Simon led his team to 15 wins last season while averaging 18 points per game.

Devante Foster
Foster, a 6'8 forward from Stockbridge, Ga., is currently a sophomore at South Georgia Tech College in Americus, Ga. He is rated as a two-star prospect in composite rankings from ESPN, Scout and Rival Rankings.
