A fourth person has been indicted on voter fraud charges while another person is now facing eight additional allegations of voter fraud related to the 2013 Dothan municipal election. Daniel Webster Reynolds III was recently indicted by a Houston County grand jury on three charges. Meanwhile, eight more charges have been brought against co-defendant Lesa Coleman who now faces a total of 28 criminal allegations.

Court documents show Reynolds promoted illegal voting when he witnessed an absentee ballot cast in the race for Dothan City Commission. It was also witnessed by Olivia Reynolds, the long time girlfriend of Commissioner Amos Newsome who won re-election on the strength of receiving 119 of 124 absentee ballots cast. The relationship between Daniel and Olivia Reynolds is now known at this time.

Olivia Reynolds has been indicted 23 charged of voter fraud while while Janice Hart faces eight voter fraud allegation. Newsome has not been implicated of wrongdoing.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office last year conducted an investigation spanning several weeks and involving more than 100 witnesses. The findings were turned over to District Attorney Doug Valeska who presented evidence to the grand jury.
