A Tuscaloosa judge has dismissed a lawsuit against Kristen Saban, daughter of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban. The case was dismissed Wednesday morning by Circuit Judge James Roberts according to court records.

The lawsuit was filed in 2012 by Sarah Grimes, a sorority sister of Ms. Saban. It alleged that Saban injured Grimes during a fight that broke out regarding a Facebook post made by Saban that angered Grimes.

The judge concluded Saban was in her home and locked in her bedroom when Grimes knocked on the door. When she entered the altercation broke out and that the force used by Saban was justified. No criminal charges were filed in the case.

“We are happy for Kristen and her family that this nightmare is finally over," said Robert Prince who represented Saban. He made the statement to the website AL.com. "The Sabans chose the difficult, but correct, path of refusing to pay ‘hush money’ to avoid the negative publicity certain to follow the filing of these frivolous claims,” Prince said.
