Clio police chief's father may have been murdered

The father of Clio police chief  Richard Johnson was discovered Thursday morning in a fire but its now believed his death may have been murder. The death was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Clio police department. The victim is identified as 81-year old Eugene Johnson. 

A source familiar with the probe said it's believed the victim was killed before the fire occurred.  State and other investigators, including some from Dothan, have been sent to Clio to aid in the probe.

The fire occurred at Clio Manor Apartments on Robinson Street.
