The city of Dothan will move forward on Tuesday with plans for two new pools and a new sports complex in the city.

The city has a number of items on their agenda related to three projects. They include a pool at Andrew Belle Community Center, a wellness pool at Westgate and the first phase of Jim Oates Park.

The three projects combined total just under $16 million dollars.

The most costly is Jim Oates Park. The project comes in at about $11.5 million dollars. The Dothan Convention and Visitor's Bureau will kick in $2 million on the project.

The wellness pool at Westgate will cost just over $3 million dollars. At this time there is no outside funding for the project.

The third project, a pool for Andrew Belle Community Center, will cost the city about $1.3 million dollars. The Wiregrass Foundation will cover $500-thousand of this project.
