COFFEE COUNTY, Ala.-- Land once made famous by a popular summer music festival in Coffee County is seeing new life.
It's held some big name acts before and now the new owner is hoping to accomplish a greater feat.
The Farm Alabama is located on 167 North of Enterprise and is not affiliated with with previous investors or owners of the property.
The 1,600 acres of farmland will bring in some of the biggest acts in the world to the area.
Quinn's Farm Incorporated is now in the process of demolishing past structures and is constructing a restaurant and salt water park
"Right now on The Farm we're working on Peanut O'Brians. Everything you see behind us is going to be the
Restaurant. It's going to have a full menu and will be open seven days a week," said Jenna Adaway, Vice President and Marketing Director.
Complete with a 60 ft. bar and sixteen different taps of draft beer, the restaurant will serve a mix of
Irish and southern food.
Not only will it increase revenue for the Wiregrass, but will also bring more jobs to the area.
"We're looking at least 100 full time jobs between the restaurant and the water park and then
the events. Once the big events come in the concert, come in, and we'll of course need help for the
temporary events as well," said Adaway.
With plans to host the Nashville Summer Concert Series as well as bring family acts throughout the year such as Tough Mudder, Jurasic West, paintball, archery and horse shows just to name a few.
"We're just happy to bring some family friendly entertainment to the area, more jobs,
more revenue, and just something for people to do and to bring tourism from other areas so they
can see what we're doing in the Wiregrass," said Adaway.
The events will be affordable with free parking.
Peanut O'Brians is expected to be complete and open within the next month.
The farm water park will be completed by summer 2018.
