State investigators executed a search warrant earlier this afternoon at Honeysuckle Middle School. WDHN was on the scene as a filing cabinet was rolled out of the building and placed in the back of a state vehicle.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesperson Kevin Cook confirmed the raid to WDHN and said a criminal investigation was underway. Another source has told WDHN that at issue are school records.
The warrant was served while school was still in session but there was no impact on students or teachers.
In May an EOEC complaint was filed against the school and school board. In that complaint there were numerous allegations of misconduct.
