Man dead after motorcycle accident near Ozark

Another motorcycle crash has taken the life of a Wiregrass resident. 

It happened Logan Road near the intersection of Foxbriar Drive south of Ozark.

The victim, 28-year-old David Whatley, died in the crash. He was less than a mile from his home at the time of the crash according in information provided to WDHN Assignment Manager Stephen Crews.

This is the second fatal motorcycle accident in the last 24 hours.

A Hartford man died Thursday night when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in rural Geneva County. The accident happened at the intersection of County Road 69 and Macedonia Road.

The victim in that crash was identified as 19-year old Blake Simmons.

Two other motorcyclists died Sunday just south of Dothan when they were returning from Panama City Beach. The two bikes collided when a tire blew on one of them.
