Man who was shot to death remembered by loved ones

OZARK, Ala. - Ozark Police Department received a call of gunshots at Ozark Estates around 2 a.m. Monday morning, hours later 33-year-old Cornelius Crittendon was found by a neighbor, shot to death, in his apartment.

Now, his family and friends are remembering the loved one they suddenly lost and how short life is.

"You just have to live for the moment, for the right now because tomorrow is not promised," Carlia Belcher said. "I love you man, I love you and thank you for just being there for not only me but for everyone."

"Then he said "Mommy I love you," he told me he loved me," Crittendon's mother Brenda Crittendon said. "It is really touching, but to know that he knew his mom loved him too."

Ozark Police Chief Marlos Walker said that evidence of foul play was recovered and that investigators are conducting interviews to find out what exactly happened

The OPD asks that if anyone has any information on this case to call them at 334-445-6122.
