Houston County Sheriff's K-9 allegedly bites innocent bystander

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala.-- A Houston County Sheriff's K-9 allegedly bit an innocent civilian Friday afternoon.

This occurred following a vehicle pursuit by the Kinsey Police which was intercepted by Houston County Sheriff's deputies.

The suspect drove down Highway 431, continuing through Ross Clark Circle, eventually crashing into another vehicle on Hedstrom Drive.

The suspects ran from the vehicle.

A Houston County Sheriff's K-9 was unleashed and one suspect was apprehended.

Sources tell WDHN News that the K-9 that was released to catch the suspect went after and bit an innocent person who was standing in their yard.

Sources say it took several officers to pull the dog off the man.

WDHN News reached out to the Houston County Sheriff's Office but they said they are not commenting on the matter at this time.
