Enterprise High School teacher awarded CTE's Teacher of the Year for the state of Alabama

ENTERPRISE, Ala.--Enterprise Hisgh School teacher Cindy Quisenberry has been awarded  Teacher of the Year by the Health Occupations Students of America.

August 2 she received an even greater honor.

Out of 260 teachers, she was awarded Career Technical Education's Teacher of the Year for the entire state of Alabama.

"She has a high standard, she demands that for her students and they have a great love for her,
great respect for her. She goes above and beyond the call. I can't think of anybody better than
to teach nursing than Mrs. Quisenberry," said Principal Matt Rodgers.

Six years ago, Quisenberry helped start the Health Science Program at Enterprise High School.

It began with one teacher and forty students.

With Quisenberry's help, the program now has four teachers and 600 plus students in health science courses.

Quisenberry said she's humbled and honored by the recognition.
