The Enterprise Chamber of Commerce awarded an unexpecting teacher with a check Tuesday.
Enterprise Early Education pre-k teacher Deborah Owens was chosen for the innovative teaching grant, which is supported by the Chamber's education committee.
The program is funded through the Chamber Office Depot Program.
Through the years the Chamber gives checks to schools throughout Enterprise School System to assist with classroom supplies.
"This money will be used to provide the supplies that we'll use for our 3D printer. We're planning to incorporate
The engineer class at the high school with the preschool class at the Early Education Center, Wee Cats preschool in order to design and implement puzzle making that helps our students that are visually impaired," said Deborah Owens.
The grant is designed to assist teachers in implementing projects that will benefit the school and students for years to come.
