Black History Month Kickoff

February is the start of Black History Month. Black History Month was created by Carter G Woodson in 1926 to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of Black Americans. The G.W. Carver Museum kickoff Black History Month and will continue to celebrate the month with different events. 

February 2nd-4th

Story Time and Book Fair at Barnes and Noble. Story Time begins 11 am

February 10

Family Tour and Activity Day

10 am-4 pm for Art activity and science experiment. Suggested donation is $3/person. Children 3 and under free. 

February 16th 

Dinner at The Carver featuring The Eric Essix Band. 

A Red and Black Formal Affair  7-10 pm. 

February 24th

Black History Power Class 1 pm-3 pm
