Assistant District Attorney Josh Wilson announces candidacy for Circuit Judge

Coffee County, Ala.-- Assistant District Attorney Josh Wilson hopes to fill the Circuit Judge place 1 position that will be vacated by Judge Thomas E Head III.

Head became Circuit Judge in 1987 and is now retiring after serving on the bench for 31 years.

Wilson announced his candidacy last night at the Elba Country Club.

I recognize that i have some tremendously large shoes to fill but certainly the traditions of honesty and fairness

On the bench will be something that i will be committed to continuing throughout the opportunity to serve the people

Of coffee and pike counties," said Josh Wilson.

Wilson is an Elba resident and has served as assistant D.A. For the 12th Judicial Circuit since 2013.

He will be running to become the republican nominee in the statewide primary election on June 5.
