Once they undergo additional training, the unit will work to improve current installations in the U.S. Central Command's area, which was organized to oversee anti-terrorism operations after the September 11 terror attacks.

The unit's stateside mission consists of responding to natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes and floods.

Daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, wives and all who attended shed many tears as they watched their brave soldiers depart.

Though they will be greatly missed, their service is appreciated by their loved ones and the community.

The unit will spend another month stateside training before heading overseas.
