A Plan For “Every Child, Every Future”

Four community meetings will be hosted by the Dothan Education Foundation to discuss the draft for a five year strategic plan for Dothan City Schools. Public education is rapidly changing to meet the needs of students, technology and the work force. Let’s take our students to the next level. Superintendent Tim Wilder will discuss the draft plan and welcome community input toward a vision of success for our students.

Twenty members of the community came together in the construction of the draft. It is a process that has been evolving for six months. Several focus groups including students, parents and Adopt A School partners participated in its development. The draft plan supports our students in becoming college and career ready and is titled “Every Child, Every Future.”

There are many factors involved in creating a successful community. Dothan’s education system is important for all of us.
