A wedding dress is important for every bride, but if you're on a budget, it can be a challenge to find the right one. Check out our tips for finding a dress for your big day that won't break the bank.
1. Buy secondhand
Wedding dress are only worn once, so many brides donate or sell their dresses after the fact. Check out consignment shops or Craigslist for gently used bridal gowns.
2. Check samples
Sample gowns are ones that bridal boutiques offer customers to try on in the store. Once the season passes and new inventory comes in, many boutiques offer these sample dresses at deep discounts.
3. Buy retail
Instead of shopping at a fancy bridal boutique, try buying a dress directly from a retailer like Nordstrom or J.Crew.
4. Go nontraditional
Who says you have to get married in a wedding dress? Shop at different retailers or thrift shops and find a dress you love that isn't strictly considered a wedding dress.
